I have been a member of Mountain Lakes Co-op since 2015 and live in Hackensack. When I found Mountain Lakes Organic Co-op, I was looking for the perfect co-op that would fit my needs and Mountain Lakes was the only one that could do that.
I have a Master's degree in Information Systems from Steven's Institute of Technology and an eighteen-year career at PSE&G as a Unix Administrator. I decided to switch gears and opened my own business. I currently own and manage White Feather Reiki Healing Center where I'm a full-time energy healer and I provide different services for my clients. I'm also a volunteer at a local hospice where I give Reiki sessions to Alzheimer's patients.
When I heard Marnie was leaving the Co-op, I didn't hesitate to lend a helping hand to keep the Co-op alive. I do not take Mountain Lakes for granted for even though I travel a bit to pick up my bag every other week, I know there's no other co-op like it. There's no other co-op that will offer local and organic fruits and vegetables of such quality anywhere else in the state of NJ for that price and that's available to us all year round.
I believe Mountain Lakes Organic Co-op is worth fighting for and I'm willing to do whatever I can to keep it alive. I have big shoes to fill in for Marnie has done a tremendous job throughout these years but I am confident and determined to continue the legacy of the quality of products this Co-op provides especially during these changing times.
